The curved silver intake runners and prominent front cooling fan give this Toyota 4A-GE-inspired engine a different character from the turbo engines in the range. Assemble 899 pieces around the four-cylinder block, adding a black top cover, ignition details and a copper-coloured exhaust manifold.
A rotating crankshaft and linked pistons let you follow the mechanical sequence through the model. The intake and exhaust assemblies remain visible from the sides, making it rewarding to examine after the build.
